Last week, we visited Legoland® California and were amazed by it! From the fun and colorful designs to the intricate Lego® masterpieces, it was such a wonderful place to visit with family. The hours were great – 10AM to 6PM – however, the summer time varies so be sure to check their hours of operation on the day you plan to visit. We took Caleb (toddler age) and Olivia (7 month old) and though we all had a blast, it was Caleb who enjoyed it the most. It was Caleb’s first time EVER on a theme park ride. We were so happy to find many rides suitable for toddlers (accompanied by an adult, of course). So we hopped on the kiddie ride, Cargo Ace, located in the Land of Adventure zone. Caleb held on tight at first but then was delighted and wanted to keep riding.
We then went off to Miniland USA and were blown away by the mini cities all made with Legos® (32,496,352 LEGO bricks to be exact!). In Miniland USA you will find Las Vegas, New York City, San Francisco, Washington D.C., Southern California, and more. This was a part of the park that we all loved and were able to spend some time admiring the detailed work. Caleb was so excited he even wanted to jump over the fence and hop into Miniland (I stopped him midway!).
We stopped for lunch at the Pizza and Pasta Buffet which had a lunch special: Buy an adult buffet & your kid eats free. Soon after, we headed to Duplo® Playtown located in Funtown where kids are able to run freely up and down the play yard. Afterward, we boarded the Legoland® Express including my 6 month old, Olivia Joy.
There is also a Baby Care Center in Funtown that offers a changing area, rocking chairs for nursing mothers and a small kitchen with a refrigerator and microwave for preparing a baby’s meal. This is a HUGE PLUS for infant moms!
There was so much to explore and we had enough time to walk around the entire park. To conclude our day, we ended up back at Miniland before leaving the park to snap a few more photos. We had such an incredible time at Legoland® California and it was one of our San Diego trip highlights. If you’re planning a San Diego trip or are in the area, Legoland® is a must! Your family will not regret it and you will surely make fun memories.
