Get dolled up just because!
Now more than ever, femininity must be restored. God made women inherently different and one characteristic we possess is beauty. Your outward appearance is a reflection of your inner self and oftentimes, it’s easy to point out an overwhelmed, stressed mom. Throughout all of my postpartum seasons, I remember making an effort to doll myself up, which meant showering daily in the morning and getting out of my pajamas no matter how tired I was. This automatically triggered my mental and emotional mood throughout the day and helped me maintain a positive outlook. From time to time, I would put on my favorite dress and wear makeup even if I stayed home all day. I continue with this mindset and it helps me feel beautiful and confident about my day.
