Planning a family trip to San Diego? Then, SeaWorld San Diego is a must! We had a perfect family day with our 2 under 2! It was our first time visiting and it was one of the highlights of our vacation. They have several fun attractions for all ages. My husband rode San Diego’s brand new fastest and tallest roller coaster, The Electric Eel and said it lived up to its hype. My toddler enjoyed all of the entertainment and attractions especially because of the park’s Sesame Street theme in the Bay of Play section, Elmo and friends Meet and Greet, and the Sesame Street Parade.
He played in the Bay of Play area for quite a while, then afterward, we went to the Elmo and friends Meet and Greet. I’ll be honest: my son wasn’t the only excited one. The little kid in me was over the moon when we found out we were going to meet Elmo! As a child, I’ve always been a huge Sesame Street fan and Elmo was my all-time favorite muppet. When we finally got up-close and personal, Caleb freaked out a tad bit but calmed down. Then we attended the Orca Encounter show. It was spectacular and quite informative! Luckily, we were seated in the upper rows, whereas if we were seated in the front rows, we would have gotten soaked and wet by the Orcas’ splash.
Caleb also rode the Aqua Scout ride with his dad and though he was skeptical at first, he ended up loving it. There were so many shows and attractions to choose from! My favorite show was the Dolphin Days show because the dolphins were perfectly coordinated throughout the entire show.
The perfect ending to a fantastic family day was the colorful Sesame Street Party Parade! Our entire family was able to enjoy it and watch all the Sesame Street characters dance and pass by. The Sesame Street Party Parade currently takes place during the weekends only through September 2nd. Your entire family will love it as much as we did. We had a wonderful time at SeaWorld San Diego and would love to visit again in the near future when we are in town.
