Match/Color Coordinate with my child(ren) & capture the moment with a photo

Our outward appearance is an expression of our inward self. Many time, moms are too busy taking care of the children and household that we tend to put ourselves last. We must learn to prioritize ourselves because when mom is feeling great, then she can operate at her best. Take a moment to dress your best today and match or color coordinate with your child(ren). Get in front of the lens this time and have someone snap a of photo of you with them. It’ll be a capture you’ll treasure in the future.

Zero Redes Sociales Hoy

Las redes sociales tienen varias ventajas, como unirte con parientes lejanos, mantenerte actualizado sobre amigos del niñes, etc., pero también tienen efectos negativos cuando se usan en exceso. A veces, los padres se distraen con el teléfono cuando su hijo está hablando. Personalmente, me parece un falta de respeto cada vez que presto toda mi atención a alguien y sacan su teléfono para estar en las redes sociales. Así como a los adultos no nos gusta, a nuestros hijos tampoco les gusta que los ignoren. No importa lo pequeños o grandes que sean, se dan cuenta cuando no les estamos prestando atención. Las redes sociales pueden volverse bastante adictivas y, sin que te des cuenta, puedes ser adicto. No solo te impide pasar tiempo de calidad con tus seres queridos, sino que también te quita tiempo para hacer algo productivo y edificante. Establece límites para tu uso diario cambiando la configuración de tu teléfono y creando límites de tiempo diarios para cada aplicación. Comienza por no usar las redes sociales hoy y concéntrate en esos momentos especiales con tu(s) hijo(s). ¡Tu si puedes!

No Social Media today

Social Media has several advantages such as uniting you with distant relatives, keeping you updated on old friends, etc. but it also has negative effects when used in excess. Sometimes parents find themselves distracted on their phone when their child is speaking. I personally find it blatantly rude whenever I am giving my undivided attention to someone and they whip out their phone to be on social media. Just how we as adults don’t like it, our children don’t like to be ignored either. No matter how little or big they are, they notice when we are not paying attention to them. Social media can become quite addictive and without you even realizing, you may be addicted. Not only does it rob you from spending quality time with your loved ones, it also take away time from actually doing something productive and edifying. Set limits to your everyday use by changing your settings on your phone and creating daily time limits for each app. Start by not using social media today and focusing on those special moments with your child(ren). You can do it!

Despejar mi armario y donar ropa que no uso

Cuanto más tienes, más hay que limpiar. Hace 8 años empece a vivir una vida “minimalista” después de darme cuenta de la cantidad de cosas que tenía que no tenía absolutamente ningún uso, incluida la ropa que no había usado en años. ¿Qué es el minimalismo? Según los autores Joshua Fields Millburn y Ryan Nicodemus (The Minimalists), “El minimalismo es una herramienta para deshacerse de los excesos de la vida y centrarse en lo que es importante, para que pueda encontrar la felicidad, la realización y la libertad”. En otras palabras, despejarse del exceso en tu hogar: cosas que no se usan y también deshacerse de cosas que no tienen un valor o propósito personal. Cuando comencé a ordenar mi departamento, noté el impacto que tuvo en mi bienestar emocional y mental. Cuando un hogar está con muchas cosas y desordenado, es más fácil ensuciarse, y vivir en un hogar desordenado tiene un efecto negativo (como el estrés) para todos los que viven en el hogar. Puedes comenzar a ordenar tu vida despejandote de la ropa que no has usado por más de un año y sacarlo de tu armario . Esa es la regla actual por la que vivo: si no se usa en un año, entonces lo dono. Mato dos pájaros de un tiro: Despejo mi armario y luego aplico el principio de la generosidad al dárselo a alguien o a una organización (si está en buenas condiciones). Querida amiga: Dona esos jeans de la secundaria que están acumulando polvo, porque lo más probable es que no los vuelvas a usar, ya sea por el estilo de moda o por tu cuerpo que ha cambiado. Puede tomar más de un día, ¡pero comience hoy!

Declutter: Go through my closet & donate clothes I haven’t used in a year

The more you have, the more there is to clean. I embarked on a minimal lifestyle journey almost 8 years ago after noticing the amount of junk I owned that absolutely had no use, including clothes that hadn’t been worn in years. What is minimal living? According to New York Times–bestselling authors Joshua Fields Millburn and Ryan Nicodemus (The Minimalists), “Minimalism is a tool to rid yourself of life’s excess in favor of focusing on what’s important—so you can find happiness, fulfillment, and freedom.” In other words, getting rid of the excess in your home – things that are unused and also getting rid of things that do not hold personal value or purpose. As I began to declutter my physical space, I noticed the impact it had on my emotional and mental well-being. When your home is cluttered, it’s easier to get messy, and living in a messy home has a negative effect (such as stress) on everyone who lives in the home. You can start to declutter your life by getting rid of unworn clothes that has been sitting in your closet for over a year. That’s the current rule I live by: if it’s not worn in a year, then I donate it. It kills two birds with one stone: I declutter my closet and then I apply the golden rule of generosity by giving it to someone or an organization (if it’s in good condition). Dear mama friend: Donate those jeans from high school that are collecting dusts, because chances are you are never going to wear them again, since either fashion trends or your body has changed. It may take longer than a day, but start today!
