Movie night with my child(ren)
As parents, we cannot be all work and no play. It’s important to spend quality time with your kid(s). One of the best and easiest ways is by watching a movie together either at-home or at the movie theaters. Friday nights are movie night at my house and since we have 4 little ones, we opt for an at-home movie night with popcorn and snacks. We watch it sans cellphones and enjoy a family movie together. If your children are teenagers or young adults with busy schedules, try having a family movie night at least once a month. Make it a family tradition!

Shower at night
The shower is a place of intimacy where we find ourselves alone. After a long day of mothering, a warm shower or bath can help you relieve and unwind. As a busy mom, it’s in those rare moments of solitude that I take advantage to unload before God in prayer and tell Him about my day. Whether it’s with words or tears, He listens and takes my day’s worries while recharging my strength for the next day. Mothers do not have to climb a mountain to meet God, He understands us and comes to our rescue even in the shower. If you’re having a long day, take a warm bath or shower at night and release your burdens through prayer.

Orar con mis hijo(s)
No importa cuán grande o pequeño sean, toma tiempo hoy para orar con tu(s) hijo(s). Nos imitan y aprenden de nosotras. Ya sea una oración de gratitud al final del día, tome la iniciativa y muéstrales cómo orar, luego pídeles que cierren los ojos y oren después de ti. Este es un momento hermoso en el que todos los miembros de la familia pueden participar y eventualmente, esto se puede convertir en parte de tu rutina familiar.

Pray with my child(ren)
No matter how big or small they are, make time today to pray with your child(ren). They mimic us and learn from us. Whether it’s a prayer of gratitude at the end of the day, take the lead in showing them how to pray, then ask them to close their eyes and pray after you. This is a beautiful moment that everyone in the family can participate in and can eventually become part of your family ritual.
