This 2020 will surely be a holiday season to remember. Through it all, this year has taught us to focus on what’s really important – family. We learned to truly cherish family quality time by being present both emotionally and mentally with our children. One of the ways we have quality time as a family is by reading to our children daily. And these weeks, we are taking advantage of teaching our kids the true reason for the holiday season with ZonderKidz books.
As parents, we are watchful of what our kids watch, play, and read. Zonderkidz books offer a variety of wholesome children’s books for all ages. (Click here to view their variety). They are entertaining while being instructive. This holiday season, they have Christmas and winter books the entire family will enjoy reading together aloud.
These are some of our favorites:
- A Night of Great Joy tells the journey of the birth of Jesus through a children’s Christmas play.
- The Berenstain Bears Go Christmas Caroling made me reminisce about my childhood. This classic series of books help me recreate childhood traditions with my little ones. This particular book includes Christmas postcards for children to send to loved ones.
- The Jesus Storybook Bible, A Christmas Collection, is the perfect addition for an Advent calendar celebration. With the push of a button this book, it narrates the story of Jesus’ birth. It concludes with Bible stories for each day of the Advent season and ten songs children can sing along too.
- Twas the Evening of Christmas tells the story of Jesus’ birth with fun rhymes and gorgeous illustrations.
- The Beginner’s Bible: Little Lamb’s Christmas was my 1 year old’s, Darla’s, favorite! It includes a finger puppet that allows children to take turns playing with it while reading the story.
- Over in a Stable has vibrant illustrations while depicting the story of nativity. We enjoy reading it aloud before bedtime.
- A Very Fiona Christmas is perfect for bedtime because it has a Christmas light-up cover! It tells the story about Fiona, the hippo, who joins her animal friends to learn the true meaning of Christmas.
- I’m Going to Give You a Polar Bear Hug makes me wish it snowed in Florida! It takes place on a cold winter day and offers whimsical rhymes. At the end of the story, my children love to give daddy and mommy lots of hugs.
These books will give your family a warm, heartfelt feeling and will help you create beautiful memories with your little ones. They are the perfect way to gather and enjoy quality time during this holiday season. Learn more about these illustrative books here.
